A collaborative strong ale that we made with our friends from Jackie-O’s Pub & Brewery out of Athens, Ohio. We made this with house roasted almonds (thank you Viva La Tarte) & Vermont Maple Syrup. Don’t be fooled, this ain’t no Little Debbies sweet treat, this brew has the right amount of malt & the hops to back it up. Think: almond citrus spice cake. CONTAINS NUTS!

Sample at the brewpub during Jackie O’s 12th Anniversary Extravaganza on 01/05/2018. Slightly hazy bronze-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of almonds, malt and maple. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted almond, grainy malt and sweet maple. The finish is sweet with a nutty and malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Cellarmaker, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is fairly restrained, with light toasted almonds and a hint of maple. Flavour is pungent, with almond extract, maple and alcohol. This is rather messy and abrasive. Not feeling this one.
