This Belgian Dubbel is another all rounder with a nice balance between its malty and slightly tart flavours.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings our raisins, some light herbal and vegetal notes. Flavour is big on the raisins and dark red fruits, along with Belgian yeast and brown sugar. Somewhat estery and moderate-to-high sweetness on the finish. It's inauthentic, but all right.

The name of this beer is about right - I mean 6% and slightly tart?
Amber-brown. This has a sweet, slightly sticky-fruity nose. Maybe raisins. Has a similar palate...berries, maybe apples, definitely a thin, harsh fusel note that smacks of malt extract. Too many harsh elements on the palate - there's some dubbel character but this one never came together.
