Pours a deep amber colour with beautiful reddish hues. Strong malt aroma, nutty and slightly toasty, spicy hops. More malt on the palate, bready, full bodied but dry. Great lingering bitterness. A Düsseldorf original.

Thank you chriso (?). 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Pre-Borefts Ratebeer Tasting 2016. Lightly hazy amber. Nose is weird leaves, insecticide, unpleasant, industrial, nasty chemical. Taste is fizzy, chemical, soap, thin, chemical, leaves, lingering industrial. Quite unpleasant.

Bottle shared @ Borefts Pre-tasting. A bit unclear orangy color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit dusty, plant-like. Not very good.

Bottle from Ales by Mail, drunk at home. Murky light reddish brown with a small white head. Light malty aroma but in truth there isn’t much to it. Gentle malty taste with some bitterness right at the end. Very easy drinking, but I can’t get into it too much.

33cl bottle. Malty dry nose. The beer starts very dry but malty with hints of nuts. Nice moderate bitterness, fresh and round. Malty with sweetish hints. The aftertaste is a bit unround, malty dry intense but the bitter-sweetnes-balance is too much on the sweetish side - so a nice try for a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. But not bad at all - it shows the right direction.
