This hop forward Ale spent several months in gin barrels and aromas of gin botanicals complement hop-imparted citrus notes of orange peel and grapefruit zest. Dry and crisp with a medium bitterness, it finishes clean and refreshing. For the full back story click here

This beer is a slightly hazy copper-orange color with a medium thick and frothy eggshell white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of yeast, gin botanicals and fruit. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hop, juniper, yeast and malt. The finish is gin botanicals and yeast. Above average overall.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with gin barrels, floral notes and light farmhouse yeast. Flavour is similar, with lots of juniper, floral notes, and light booze. Floral and ginny. Meh.

A pour from the bottle (thx, Alex B.!) on Black Christmas V. Pours a hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is funky, fruity, and gin. Similar taste. Nice.

On tap @ What’s Brewing, Stavanger. Pours dark golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, with tropical notes of apricots, citrusy notes, and grapes, as well as spicy, wooden barrels and perfumey brett. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is herbal, bretty wood, and hoppy apricots. Lingering bitter finish.
