Recovered from multiple Sahale, LaTache & Carpe Diem Manana brews. Initially ages in two upright brandy barrels called Newman & Fonda in 9.2016, figs and plum addition followed in October. Some of the beer in this blend was brewed as far back as 8.2015! In 5.2017, the beer was transferred to Jeffery, a 5th use brewery barrel.

Two months later we added 4 flats of raspberries and aged the beer until we bottled it in 1.2018. Due to the upright barrels, relative age of the beer, and the fruit additions this is a very sour beer indeed.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2018, bottled 1.17.2018
It says on the label "Figs plums raspberries honey / Aged in brandy and wine barrels"
Cloudy orange colour. Weird aroma, fruit, rosehip, mustard. Strong acidity, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some acetone too, mess of fruits.
It doesn't come together at all, a real mess.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a wonderfully effervescent earthy character, wild yeast, twigs, and oak. Flavour is very earthy, with lots of acidity, tart red fruits, and oak. Acidic and tart on the finish without stealing the shoe. Good stuff.
