What does a beer rater due when stuck in Uganda for two months? Search out obscure beers of course. This one is not too bad. 33cl bottle pours a burn gold or honey color with a thin, creamy white head. Nose is mostly bread, a little light toast, some light honey, a touch grassy. The flavor starts with a sweet maltiness, but that fermented corn flavor kicks in and ruins the party. It’s mostly sweet, even the finish is a tad slick, with just a touch of diluted orange zest. It won’t be the next beer craze, but in Kampala, this isn’t that bad.
