Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of Max. Shared with him and JFK10000. Pours brown, medium beige head. Tea, spicy, come chocolate, bitter finish. Not getting the BIPA character, but so much tea. Medium bodied. Interesting.

330ml bottle. BBE FEB 2018. Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, chocolate, coffee, herbal hops, pine, citrus and hints of tea. Taste is smooth, earthy and slightly roasty with loads of dusty earthy notes, hints of burnt leather, hops, herbal notes, fruits, coffee, tea and chocolate. Finish is smooth and slightly sweetish with some tea, herbal notes and earthiness. A bit unbalanced, but quite unique.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chicolate, bitter hops, flowers, licorice and has a nice long bitter finish.

Pours dark brown, almost completely black, topped with medium beige head, creamy. Gentle and pleasant fruity hoppy nose,a bit of roastiness and slight herbal touch. Medium bitter, slight and short chocolatey-roasty feel to it and herbal aftertaste. Lighter body, fresh feel. Nice one.

330ml bottle. Opaque, dark brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and piney, herbal-grassy, hoppy aroma, hints of liquorice, dark berries, a zesty touch of mandarine and grapefruit, bergamot overtones. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, slightly herbal, leafy and fruity, notes of liquorice, earthy hints of dark berries, black tea, a touch of bergamot. Unflattering prevalence of earthy flavours generates an uncalled-for pretence of lacking freshness.

Bottled 330m (AbM)
Dark, almost opaque ruby color, good cloudy beige head. Citrus, dark fruits, tea and toastyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Citrus, tropical fruityness in the flavor. Toasted maltyness is less dominating than in many black ipas. In the finish bergamot oil tea is evident (although I couldn’t get what it is without reading the description). A bit different CDA.

Keg tap at the Cambridge Brewhouse. Mahogany and murky, with a cream-coloured hint of a head on top. Light floral aroma with mint and milk chocolate. Taste is stupid good: chocolatey sweet followed by a botanical bitterness. Then the tea notes weigh it down. Ending with a slightly tannic sourness to the finish, with a lovely full body. Black tea and tangerine in the aftertaste. A cracker of a beer.
