Can. Light amber with a slight haze. Fairly thick head. Has an overripe fruit aroma, with orangey notes and a touch of rye. Thick malts, fairly sticky, with a lot of bitterness, more than the IBUs promise. Sticky chewy malt finish - DIPA isn't really the best place for rye, honestly. Tropical hops are clashy with this malt bill, and there's a lot of alcohol in the finish. I don't mind the elements - ok the malts aren't to my taste - but it's more the way things come together (or don't) that I think aren't great.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Cloudy golden colour. Light aroma of fruity hops. Moderately sweet, the malt flavour is not too strong, it has robust bitterness with some hop qualities, resins, bitter orange peel, but it also has a strong alcohol burn, and after a few ounces it may become excessive and cloying.
Good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy dulled orangey yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, some spiciness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bold, with a nice balance of earthy, spicy hops, some pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Lightly sweet and spicy on the finish, with a nice piney character. Excellent.
