Cask. Dark brown with a thick sparkler head. Nutty, light chocolate on the nose. Soft body, but it does get a little soupy. I suspect underlying diacetyl or a line problem. But either way this falls apart soon after you start drinking.

On cask at Moody, pours a dark brown with a reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma brings out oats upfront, with a touch of tartness and some earthiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy oats, light tartness, and bready notes. Pleasant, despite the light tartness. Works well enough for what it is.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown to black color. Pretty good roasted malts, dark bread, some chocolate, some lactose or other sweetness, hence not dry, also not ashy, I like it.
