This Bourbon barrel Aged Double IPA (Batch 2023) is brewed at the new location of the HillDevils brewery in Wouwse Plantage. The Exploded Dipa is based on Makers Mark Barrels. The unique smell and taste of the Bourbon Whiskey melts together with the beer. And with the second sip, the adventure actually begins!!! Enjoy!!!
Niet de smaak van een echte DIPA, maar wel de bittere afdronk.
Dit koper kleurige bier heeft een soepele en ronde smaak.
Fruitig, fris, maar ook veel vanille.
BBA DIPA Maker’s Mark 10% Alc. 33 cl. :
0ranje amberkleur van een heel laat ondergaande zon, tweeschijn, mooie, volle schuimlaag, matig koolzuur, kleine prik op en rond de tong. De aroma’s : zacht/ zoet alcoholisch, vanille, Bourbon, tannines.
De smaakbeleving : intens, licht fruitig/ citrus bitterig waarbij het basisbier de Double IPA nog stevig doorkomt.

-1 point for the obnoxious plastic pseudowax. Lightly cream-tinted, small head over hazy red-copper beer. Very strongly vanilla, Bourbon, crème Anglaise, and a bit of resin/pine. Vanilla again, double cream or coffeemilk (Nutroma). Raisins, bit of wholemeal bread, very faint bitter. Alcoholthinning, if little alcoholburn. Quite slick, oily texture. Alcohol surprisingly hidden. Far from bad, but not really very complex, in fact it is the Bourbon that confers all its character.
