Cask at MS HWY, 27/03/24. Reddish amber with a decent lasting light beige head formed of bubbles that stay for the show. Nose is biscuit malt, sultanas, caramel wafer, dried fruits, hedgerow. Taste comprises toffee, malt forward but balanced, biscuit crumbs, stewed fruits, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Simplistic enough cask offering but tidy for the style.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A reddish amber pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma; rather thin with a sweet malty taste; then a dry finish with some tea-like tannins and a little earthy bitterness. An unexceptional Irish ale.
