It’s called Snowmelter. But might as well be called a Imperial Milk Chocolate Oatmeal Coffee Stout. This beer is a cousy beverage to enjoy alone, maybe with a bit of dark chocolate on the side. Serve chilled in a wine glass or a brandy glass. A beer to enjoy in the darkness of winter.

Bottled. Pitch black colour with a beige foamy/creamy thick longlasting head, that leaves some lace. Aroma has coffee, liquorice, chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts, tar and some slight ashy tones. Flavour is coffee, dark chocolate, some mild peat, smoked wet wood, vailla and some tarry tones. Thick palate, and hides the alcohol really well for being 11 %!

Backlog November 2017. Clear, deep amber, almost black body under a small beige head. Aroma has dark roasted malt, ash, coffee and green pepper. Taste is sweetish dark malt, lots of coffee, molasses, fine bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste with much coffee as well. Strong and tasty coffee stout.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chili, coffee, alcohol, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, bread, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish

Bottle at home. Four year old bottle. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a khaki head. Aroma of roasted wood, some alcohol, dark wood, cocoa, coffee beans and oak. Roasted flavour as well with lots of dark chocolate, ash and coffee. Has a soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light to medium bitterness. Delicious imperial stout with waves of chocolate and coffee. The alcohol is well hidden, and the ale is well-balanced all over.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel! Fast schwarze Farbe, geringe bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch holzig röstmalzig, schokoladig, gering torfig. Geschmack holzig, mild röstmalzig, Kaffee, etwas Schokolade, gering torfig.

Many thanks to Nisse666 for this bottle! Intense and deep roasted nose. The beer starts fresh and intense. Not too thick and for the 11% highly drinkable. Long and intense roasted body, moderate bitterness, viscous without being sticky or sweet. Great sticky roasted caramel, burned sugars. Fantastic long and intense dark roasted aftertaste. Fantastic!

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a tint of red and a creamy,beige head leaving some lacework. Very rough coffee aroma, ashtrayish - combined with some sweetness. Rich body, again very rough coffee notes, they really come out more like ashes, and the milk sugar cannot really cover that although it DOES smoothen things out a little bit. I think these guys need to work with the way they add the coffee. 030516

Flaska från SB. 2014 vintage. Opak, närmast svart med lågt skum. Söt doft med fudge, kaffe, chokladkola, julmust och kaffesump. Krämig mjuk munkänsla, rund rejält kropp, söta smaker av kola, fudge, mjölkchoklad med en lite bränt bitter eftersmak. Smakerna hålls ihop av den rejäla runda kroppen och lätta kaffe- och chokladsmaker. Kanske en lite avig eftersmak med källartoner som nog inte borde vara där. Annars trevlig.
