Can shared with the boys, probably courtesy of the MS crew. When it comes to fruited stouts it always comes down to one thing in my head: whether or not the fruit character, and mainly the acidity is corporated well enough in the base beer. In this case it is, but in a nice and balanced way, the body is thick, the cherry is there, but doesnt overpower the base. It works.

Can 33 cl. Pours syrupy thick, opaue black with a tiny, brown head. Sweet roast nose, perhaps a hint of diacetyl. Sweet roastiness but quickly overpowered by very tart cherry notes. Somewhat salty with little bitterness. Roast and cherry sounds like a good idea, but the tartness is simply too much. 070123

Frothy lightbrown fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor- Some cherry notes. Long moderate bitter cherry finish. Oily palate.
