Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer webshop. Drinking this at home Saturday 12th April 2025 after another hard day of gardening, we had Dishoom Mattar Paneer (however we couldn't find Paneer so using Chicken), also Dishoom Bowl of Greens and our own Spicy Rice. Listening to Stuart Maconie sitting in for Craig Charles on the Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. Pours black with a small tan head, lots of chocolate on the nose and Loz is picking up coconut, not checked ingredients list but I can sort of see where she's coming from. Thick in the mouth, not sure what the bison grass adds. I'm not massively impressed that said it's as ever a solid beer from always reliable Pohjala.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Scattered lacing from a fair fawn-coloured head, deep black in the glass. Attractive chocolate aromas, mid-sweet and nicely roasted. Rich taste character, enjoying grainy chocolate with vanilla bites, and a note of herbal hops. Roasted chocolate malty depth to long-lived ending. Good drinking at home on a Saturday afternoon. (Tromsø, 22.02.2025).

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 14/02/2025.
Lighter shade of black with a lasting khaki head.
Nose is chocolate, toasted brown sugars, herb, dark malts, molasses.
Taste comprises earthy roast, caramel, toasted brown sugars, faint vanilla, toffee, cocoa sprinkle, dried fruit rinds, coffee suggestion.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a hint of booze.
Tidy sipper.

Clear deep amber brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Fairly smooth and light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little earthy dark chocolate and coffee. Well, they didn't spare the Bison grass for this one, that floral - herby and slightly spicy lemon dominates the back end of the beer and it sits surprisingly well with the choco coffee vibes, I thought it might be a mismatch but nope, an interesting and tasty affair that went down very easily.
