Sample at SBWF 2015. Almost black with a tan head. Fairly mild with roasted malt, milk chocolate, vanilla and some dried fruit. The finish was sweetish and with a light bitterness. A descent one.

Bottle at chriso’s. Pours deep reddish brown with a frothy tan head. The nose holds burnt toast, milk chocolate, berry skins, earth. Medium sweet flavor with sugary dark bread, leathery dark fruits, simple chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary dark malt finish, with prominent milk chocolate, burnt toast, dried dark fruits. Not bad.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, light breadish and chocolate. Bitter, caramelish, roasted and breadish. Dry and bitter, toasted malty finish.

Sampled @ Braukunst Live München 2015 Fast schwarzes Bier mit einer ordentlichen bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Espresso, Schokolade und Vanille. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, Vanille, schokoladig, lecker!

Tap @ High Hops. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Slightly burnt, chocolate, lightly nutty, earthy aroma. Somewhat herbal/earthy, chocolate, light coffee, light vanilla, roasty flavor. Fairly dry but tasty.
