Off Season is a hoppy red ale, combining rye and caramel malts with a blend of American hops for a kick of citrus and dank pine.

Keg at the Pines, Gloucester, 04/04/2025.
Reddish amber topped with a good sized beige cap.
Nose is earthy dried fruits, caramel, pine needle, candied orange peel.
Taste comprises grass, pine needle, caramel wafer, melon, orange peel.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness.
Tidy for the style.

440ml can. Slightly hazed dark ruby red, big beige head. Aroma of caramel, light rye, piney hops. Taste of sweet caramel, a touch of rye spice, strong piney hops and a lick of citrus, assertive bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really quite good, definitely grew on me!
