A creamy, pale oat ale hopped with a huge charge of Equinox and Simcoe hops for a piney, eucalyptusy, cedary, sprucey, foresty blast. First brewed in 1995... brewed today in a time of change.

Bottle. Pours clear orange, large puffy white head, dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is light overall, notes of pine, some light dankness, yep, cedar, interesting. Orange zest, biscuit maltiness. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, hop nuances pretty subdued, which is unfortunate given that I picked this up at release. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Not really doing it for me.

pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Sweet caramel, orange and mango aromas. Medium bodied and dry with sweet tropical fruit upfront turning to hot caramel before the lasting mild citrus finish.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a creamy off-white head. Aroma has lots of hop. So much itโs almost like, dare I say, extreme arm pit. Or dank. Or very, very ? Med + body. First shot pops up phenolics. Earthy. Then some resin and herb. Itโs quite bitter. With a little time I think citrus surfaces. The caramel backbone is lost in the hop (well, mostly). Itโs finishing with detectable caramel, and bitter, bitter, bitter while expressing a disparate hop menu. My eyes actually seem to have glazed a bit. Wowser. Iโm very glad this was re-released or whatever. No one should miss this ale.

Hazy golden-amber; lemony hop aroma with pale malts and, yes, oats. Tropical fruit esters (guava, mango, tangerine). The palate is fruity (peach, tangerine, lime), with some cedary hops. Light & refreshing.
