Tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown body, almost black under a fine, dense, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark malt, moderate coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, dark roasted malt, coffee and some chocolate with fine bitterness. Balanced body with a pleasant aftertaste. A nice, well made, not too sweet brown ale with moderate coffee flavor that makes this a nice one both for drinking alone or as food companion.

On tap at the brewpub. An almost black one, with a dense finger thick beige head. Roasted malts, sour coffee and some berries in the aroma. Some burnt hints. It's full bodied and semi dry, with a decent bitterness. Nice carbonation. Roasted malts, sour coffee and some burnt malts in the flavor. Berries and dark dried fruit hints. Medium length finish. Too coffee sour this one, failing to showcase the coffee. 241219
