(Bottle, 26 Dec 2024) Reddish amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty nose with notes of wort bread, treacle toffee, nuts, orange peel and spices. Malty taste with bread, wort, toffee, caramel, nuts, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth and well balanced. Quite nice.

Bottle. A clear nut brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has some chocolate along with nuts, toffee and bread. Some hoppy notes too. It's medium to full-bodied, very smooth, semi-sweet. Nuts, chocolate, toffee and caramel in the flavor. Bread, hops and a decent bitterness dealing with the sweetness. Medium length finish. A pleasant, easy drinkable beer that shouldn't put anyone off. 241201
