Superficial tasted @ Håntverkeren juleølfestival. Beautiful looking, clear deep brown body without any foam. Mild honey is dominating the aroma, but also malt, spices and subdue fruit. Taste is sweet malt, toffee, spices, grassy hops and mild acidity. Fine balanced body with a pleasant aftertaste.

Bottle, at Kristiansand Juleølfestival. A clear, oily, dark brown and headless mead, quite vinous on the nose. Dark caramel, toffee, blackberry and generic dark berries, some alcohol and a very light oxidation. Honey too of course and some roasted malts. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet. The flavor is more focused on the honey than the aroma was, a bit more oxidation too, and the blackberries also has more room than in the aroma. Vinous flavor too, with toffee, alcohol, dark berries and a touch of roasted malts. Lasting finish. Really nice this one, sure hope it will be available at Vinmonopolet soon. 241102
