Gravity cask at the Wellington Arms, Bedford. Impenetrable brownish black. Aroma of plums with a floral (jasmine?) note. Taste is sweet/sour, with the acrid dryness one might associate with an Irish stout. Confusing but tasty. Palette feels quite flat and leads to a disappointingly unbalanced finish. Not as good as their Plum Mild (q.v.) but still enjoyable.
