Unfined butternut Squash and sweet Potato Stout
A collaboration with Revolutions brewery, this tastes like a full bodied stout, but its more complex than that.

Gravity cask at Cambridge Winter Ales festival 2015. 4.5% ABV. Dark brown, opaque. Lively little tan head. The bouquet is black cherry, liquorice, espresso, charcoal. Am I just imagining the chilli? Sweet taste. Too sweet really. Malt, liquorice and chocolate hit at the end of the sip. Gentle hot fudge finish. Tasty, certainly not without flaws, but a lot of fun.

Cask-conditioned at the Holborn Whippet, 3/11/2014. Near back with a thin, tan, head. Sweetish, chocolate and berry fruits notes, some roasted malts and almost savoury denseness in the finish. Enjoyable.
