Cask at the Six Bells, St Albans. Copper, clear with very little head but lots of lacing. Scent of caramel, wood, house paint, malt loaf. Ordinary but not unpleasant. Bittersweet malty hit in the initial taste, followed by a bit of caramel/fruit flavour. Medium short finish. Thinnish body, fairly flat but the mouthfeel works for this beer. Like so many beers before, and, I fear, so many to come: good enough to drink but boring enough to forget instantly. Buntingford are capable of making good beers as well as some mediocre ones. This is one of the mediocre ones.
