Bottle. Clear golden color with a three finger head. Aroma is grains, straw and some fruit. Taste, while slightly fuity, did not taste like pear to me. Refreashingly good though.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/7/2018. Pours slightly hazy pale golden straw color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big juicy pears and fruit peel; with lighter notes of cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with pears, light-moderate pale malts, and mild earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy pears and fruit peel; with lighter notes of cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of pears, fruit peel, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pears, light-moderate pale malts, and mild earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/tart/bitterness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors with no yeasty notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a delicious fruited pale lager. All around nice robustness and balance of pears, light-moderate pale malts, and mild earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great authentic pear flavors with clean pils malts, and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Clear golden coloured body with a nice, thin, single centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pears (of course), apples, light yeast and wheat and a bit of breadie funky. Light-bodied; Mellow grassy and herbal flavours with a bit of a apple and pear sweetness along with a touch of crisp grain and very little else, aside from some yeast. Aftertaste shows the grain and sweetness with some light honey, a touch of malt and that’s about it - fairly mild, but the effervescence is noticeable. Overall, about what you’d expect for the beer, but a tad underwhelming, considering it’s mild flavour and non-existant complexity. Not really worth trying, but fun compared to most IPAs and Saisons. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 28-January-2017 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington a few hours before leaving for Charlottesville (and Roseland), Virginia for the very first time on 24-Feburary-2017.

Col brought this to our last bottle share but no one fancied it. So the wife’s drinking it instead. Had a taster. Poured amber with a small white head. Aroma of grain and very light pear. Quite heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, oily texture. Not great.
