A Brew York and 8 way collab turning up at my local supermarket in DK surprise. Well this does what it says, definitely sticky and smokey and full on savoury, dark caramel and maple, some vanilla and spices, dark singed brown sugar, sticky warming finish.

Black beer, lively brown head which simmers down to a film. Aroma is warming and a little smoky with maple and spirits. Pretty smoky up front, lots of malt, a little dark chocolate, maple, a little brown sugar, alcohol burn, some warming chilli. Lingering, spiced warmth and really boozy. Honestly I think it could do with upping the sweeter flavours, give it a bit more sticky sweetness to combat all the smoke and pepper and booziness. But it does what it says on the tin, even if I'd prefer it if the balance was a little different.
