The Sun Swirls Within You, the next of our 6% IPAs is utilising the delights of Lórien, Idaho 7 and a dosing of Galaxy Spectrum to round it off. Bright Orange is the star here, Lórien provides a subtle floral aroma and the Galaxy spectrum adds the juice with a balanced, typically Galaxy, herbaceous finish.

Can at home picked up from 73 Enid Street. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a lasting uniform white froth. Aroma is semi sweet, fluffy wheat grains, sticky orange, tangerine, waxy citrus, green mango, medium dank, woody notes. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody citrus, woody notes, tangerines, firm bitterness, some alcohol. Alchol bite in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, moderate carbonation. Pretty good.

Can. A light haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, smooth and mildly dry, good fine minerally crispness. The light pale malts are a bit over cooked in the creamy sweetness department, slightly tangy with it. Crisp pine. Juicy citrus, not enough welly to overcome the overdone malts. Humph! This to me sums up Cloudwater, they are casually capable of delivering world class beer but far too often deliver sub par nonsense like this.

Can from Great Grog. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dank melon and pine. Flavour of orange pith and melon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. The Galaxy hop is certainly evident but in my view it just needs some extra juicy hops to balance it out.
