375ml bottle from Beergium.com

Bottled May 2015 - Pours clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of tart fruits, funky yeast, wood, oak, citrusy hops, hints of grass, pine, farmyard and urine cake. Taste is carbonated, foamy, citrusy and tart fruity with some bretta, funky yeastiness, wood, pine and soapy notes. Finish is tartish, funky and sourish with some yeast, bretta, citrus and grassy hops. Okay funky and tart bretta ale, but not as hoppy as I hoped.

Hazy yellow, huge white rocky head. Intense brett aroma. My whole kitchen smells like cat piss now. Also some malt and citrus. Hops coming through later. Flavour is bretty, funky with citrus. Dry, still juicy and fluffy.

(375ml bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen - May 2015 bottle) Pours a slightly hazy gold colour with a huge white head of froth that lingers for ages with lots of lace. Aroma has pungent and a bit unusual citrus - orange, kumquat, maybe pomelo - along with unripe mango/pineapple, a really sweaty funky Brett character, light citric acidity, pale malt sweetness, pine. On the palate it’s got a light malt core, citrus fruits and pineapple make it sweetish and lightly tart, a bit of Brett sweat but not as powerful as the nose. Pretty dry from middle towards the finish, moderate bitterness, citrus pith, unripe mango, pine needles, bit of earthy Brett on the aftertaste with the hops. Light to medium body, carb is plentiful but still soft. I think the nose, which is lovely and interesting, slightly outstrips the flavour here. Both are nice though, with a good bitter bite on the palate in keeping with the IPA style.
