Mathilda on aromikas ja antelias vehnäolut. Teimme modernin, raikkaan ja rehellisen vehnäoluen, joka on samalla kylämme nimikko-olut. Mathildedalin nimi oli alun perin Hummeldahl mutta ruukin perustaja Viktor Zebor Bremer antoi sille uuden nimen puolisonsa Ottiliana Mathildan mukaan. Etiketin kuvassa on omat kyläalpakkamme, joista yksi kaunis neitokainen kantaa myös nimeä Mathilda.

33cl can from K-Citymarket, Helsinki. Pours hazy pale golden with a white head. Floral and fruity with notes of wheat, yeast and herbs. Moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and light acidic notes. Fairly refreshing with mild banana notes.

Utuinen, kullankeltainen olut vaahtoaa melko runsaasti valkoista pienikuplaista vaahtoa, joka kuitenkin katoaa aika nopeasti kokonaan. Tuoksu hedelmäinen, hapan ja vehnäinen. Maku hapan ja hieman mausteinen, hedelmäisyyttä ei havaittavissa juurikaan. Hieman tunkkainen loppufiilis. Hiilihappoja runsaasti. Hedelmäisyyttä ja banaania tähän kaipaisi reilusti lisää, samoin runkoa. Hiilihappoja taas turhan paljon.

Draught @ [ SOPP 2015 ] @ Railway Square / Rautatientori, Helsinki, Finland . [ As Mathildedalin Mathilda ].Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat, flowers, honey. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity, sweet malt, light yeasty. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Many thanks to rosenbergh for this beer! The beer is smooth and fruity. Not too deep, hints of banana, more clove. Round and smooth, not much bitterness. Round but not too much depth.

Tap at SOPP 2015, Helsinki. Colour is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, banana, wheat and malts. Very basic.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Almost clear golden, brief head. Fruity nose with hay and barnyard. Mid dry with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Grain, banana and barnyard. Some tart apples in a mid bitter finish.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2015) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, herbalness and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, clove, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A not so good hefeweizen.
