330ml bottle as "Black" from Home Farm shop, Beningbrough, Yorkshire. Dark reddish-brown black colour, foamy tan head leaving lacing, with aroma of tropical fruits, hops and roasted malt. Taste is juicy fruits, citrus, hoppy along with roast malt, coffee and some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable black IPA.

33cl bottle of Black from Beer52.com. Dark cola colour with a tight cream head; aroma of piney hops and well roasted malts; smooth and silky in the mouth, with good balance between the astringency of the hops and the soft milkiness of the malts; although he bitterness from the hops lingers it’s the malts that win through in the end leaving an earthy coffee aftertaste.

Fra cask på Blue Bell, York 30 Okt 14. Ekstremt mørk amber. Lavt litt farget skum. Teppelacing. Anonym aroma. Hint av frukt. Smaken er frukttyggegummi. Blir behagelig tørr & bitter etter hvert.
