Using only the finest Scottish blackcurrants, Cassis pours a vibrant purple colour with an intense aroma. Sweet berries lead to a refreshing tart finish.

On tap at Marine Hotel in Stonehaven - cloudy purple body, bright lilac head. Dry but not lip puckering blackcurrant sharpness, easier going than most wild ones, but cleansing nonetheless.

Can from The Six Degrees North Webshop. Purple pour with a light pink head. Aromas of blackcurrant jam, prunes, black cherries. Tart taste of all of the above. Jammy tart finish.

Hazy purple-y beer, decent pinkish head. Smells of blackcurrant as you might expect, but of actual fruit, not sugary 'blackcurrant flavour.' Flavour has tart blackcurrant, a little berry jam, a bit of acidity, some citrus. Nice flavour of actual fruit, a bit of sugary, jammy sweetness through the finish. Very decent.

Keg at Craftsman Company. It pours lightly hazy bright deep purple with a small pinky/purple head. The aroma is fres, juicy, tangy, sweet - sour, gummy candy, bramble and blackcurrant. The taste is intially dry, sweet - sour, juicy, tangy, bright blackcurrant character, bramble, jammy, sour sweets, hint of citric acidity and lime with a fairly short tangy finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth, but it works well.
