This week we collaborated with Jane Peyton, award winning beer sommelier, drinks educator, writer, founder of the School of Booze to brew something very special for Beer Day Britain at Thornbridge Hall, Godiva!
This is a 4.5% a Rye IPA using a new British Godiva hop (CF127). Jane noted that collaborating on the Godiva beer for Beer Day Britain and brewing with a new English hop has been terrific. I hope fans of Thornbridge beer will raise a glass of Godiva during the National Cheers To Beer on June 15th at 7pm and say Cheers To Beer!

On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Clear amber body, lacing white head. Nose is too light, nothing really of character. Taste has a bit of graininess, but again a bit dull. Initially thought it was muted by being in the middle of a couple of darker beers, but in hindsight it still was an uninspiring pint.

Cask. York Tap. Gold, with some haze. Thin, frothy, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet grain. Some hop spice. Taste is light sweet. Some grassy bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Bland is an understatement.
