Blitzen is a chocolate and ginger flavoured stout using chocolate malt and cocoa to give a rich bitter chocolate taste along with root ginger added to both the copper and fermenter to leave a spicy ginger kick sure to warm the senses on a cold winter’s night.

Cask at The Grove, Huddersfield, Saturday 21st February 2015 Black with a creamy off white head. Dry and a light burnt toasty edge to this, pleasant easy drinking stout, sounds like this may have been left over since Christmas with a name like Blitzen, still it’s a good solid stout, enjoyed this. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Jet black body, thick lacing tan head. Nose is rich stem ginger (not the powdered shite), lots of spiciness, and the roastiness of the malts giving it a great kick. Taste is likewise, loads of rich ginger cookie taste, set back on a great roasty toasty platform. Long finish, and nice thick body. A proper Christmas Cracker!
