Black color, with small creamy beige head. Aroma of hops and roasted malts. Dry mouthfeel, with a lot of roasted malts and black coffee hiding the still perceptible resiny hops; the dry hopping and the dryness of this beer add more drinkability to an already good and straightforward Stout.

2011-08-04, draught at the brewpub, 6-4-7-3-14=34
Black color, with nitro-like creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel, the flavor is chocolaty, with roasted malt, mild residual bitterness, bitterness almost exclusively from the roasted malt; the roastiness raises in the end, without reaching excessive levels.
Very good.

Very dark brown colour with thick light brown head. Light chocolate aroma. Flavour is sweet, with milk chocolate and almond notes. The roast is light and in the background, and contributes a hint of quenching acidity in the finish. Smooth body, rounded flavours. Very drinkable.

Cask-conditioned...the chocolate aroma is much stronger, with hints of roastiness. The flavour is chocolatey, but not as sweet as on nitro. It’s a fuller beer, the flavours standing clear, and is just as smooth. Iain, I know you’re okay with nitrogen but it adds nothing to this beer!
