We had the pleasure of hosting the crew from Yakima Chief Hops at the brewery last month and brewed up a big ol' juicy IPA with some killer hops. We had never had the opportunity to use HBC586 in Cryo format before and we were certainly not dissapointed. Booming notes of mango, guava and lychee from the minute we opened the bag and this translated intot he finished beer. Combined with gooseberry and Sauv Blanc heavy Nelson Sauvin, our selected lot of Citra which is very much a citrus bomb, this is one killer IPA. It pours a beautiful pale, hazy yellow from an univasive malt base and carries undertones of stone fruit from a heavy whirlpool addition of El Dorado.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.5
Can at home, 22nd September 23. Pours a hazy bright orange yellow. Aroma is bright, tropical fruits and citrus. Taste is tropical punch, citrus, mango, a little sweet, I thought it was a west coast, so not sure what happened. OK
