Pours a black body and a light brown frothy head that quickly recedes. Aroma's: sweetish, light peat and smoke, red fruit, tannines. Retronasal the peat is a bit more pronounced, with tar, iodine, red fruit, a little salty even. Flavour is light sweet, moderate bitter, peaty, a hint of fruity sourness. Alcohol a bit (but not too) sharp. Medium bodied. Somewhat low, prickly carbonation. Finishes ashy, fairly bitter. There's red fruit throughout. Certainly not bad, but not entirely balanced.
