Keg at Suds'N'Soda, RB Derby lash up, 11/02/22. Black with a good sized tan head that settles to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, mellow roast, dark malts, herb, spice, dark fruit rinds, trace of peppermint. Taste comprises chocolate, winter cheers, spice rack, herb, tangy red berry whisper, modest barrel, molasses. Full bodied, fine to light oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Not bad ... easy sipper ... but just lacking a bit of balance for me and a little too much on the earthy/herby side.
