Bottle from Wine & Beer Direct, Halifax. Darker amber with next to no head. It has a sweetness with a taste that gives the impression it is stronger than it is, but it’s not too flavoursome or appealing.

Cask (Turf Tavern, Oxford) - Copper coloured. Raisins, caramel and a hint of marzipan in the aroma. Fruity and slightly nutty taste with marzipan and chestnuts detected.
