Das Pale Ale hat seine Wurzeln in England. Es ist eine elegant gebraute Version des typisch britisch obergärig gebauten Bitters. Pale Ales enthalten zumeist wesentlich mehr Hopfen als andere Biere. Die Pale Ales wurden erstmals im 19 Jahrhundert gebraut um das Bier für den langen Seeweg nach Indien haltbar zu machen. Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde dieser Biertyp in der amerikanischen Craft-Brewer-Szene wiederauferlebt und durch das „Hopfenstopfen“ (Gabe des Hopfens im Lagerkeller) das Flavour des Bieres erhöht.

Im Antrunk dominante, aber angenehme Bittere, welche aber sehr schnell in den fruchtigen zitrusgeschmack übergeht. Im Abtrunk erinnernd an trockenen Beeren und sehr leichten Caramehl.

Sehr mild hopfig getreidiger Antrunk. Eher dunkel, wenig würzig, die leichte Hopfigkeit bleibt. Minimaler Alkohol. Irgendwie langweilig. 8/7/7/6/7/6

Unclear matt medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, fruity, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, fruity hops, dry, grass, malt sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150828]

330ml Bottle (Cafe Abseits, Bamberg) - Hazy golden in colour. Pineapple, pine, gooseberries and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy and refreshing taste with notes of lemon, pineapple and grapefruit.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor with weak hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish.

Bottle at Fränkisches Bierfest. Light hazy green golden, white lace. Fresh tropical aroma. Medium light mellow sticky body. Glue finish.

330 ml bottle at Cafe Abseits, Bamberg. Hazy golden orange color with nice white head. Aroma is malty, light caramel, bready, hoppy, citrusy fruity and pine. Taste is sweet and bitter, malty bready and hoppy fruity again. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Many thanks for this bottle to Pivnizub & MoritzF. Pours pale dark yellow color. Apricot notes and plenty of grassy bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. Nice beer.

Braukesselflasche: Golden, hazy, stable and creamy and lacy and rocky off-white head; moderate to solid herbal-piney nose, completed by a delicate lemony background, sweet malt barely detectable; moderate to solid dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty dry grapefruity finish, still with a balancing sweetness created by pale malt. Really good…

bottle, courtesy of pivnizub! Hazy pale golden yellow, white head. Lovely hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, malty base with lots of resiny and fruity hops. Pleasantly bitter and resiny. Delicious.

Bottle from trade with Pivnizub, Dekuji. Orange golden color with thick white head. Malty aroma with nice hoppy touch with oranges, tangerines, pines.Fruity taste with nice citrus hoppy kick with grapefruit, grapefruit zest, pines. dry hoppy bitter finish. Good.
