Das Pale Ale hat seine Wurzeln in England. Es ist eine elegant gebraute Version des typisch britisch obergärig gebauten Bitters. Pale Ales enthalten zumeist wesentlich mehr Hopfen als andere Biere. Die Pale Ales wurden erstmals im 19 Jahrhundert gebraut um das Bier für den langen Seeweg nach Indien haltbar zu machen. Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde dieser Biertyp in der amerikanischen Craft-Brewer-Szene wiederauferlebt und durch das „Hopfenstopfen“ (Gabe des Hopfens im Lagerkeller) das Flavour des Bieres erhöht.
Im Antrunk dominante, aber angenehme Bittere, welche aber sehr schnell in den fruchtigen zitrusgeschmack übergeht. Im Abtrunk erinnernd an trockenen Beeren und sehr leichten Caramehl.

33 cl bottle. Cloudy orange/yellow.Small head.Citrus, hops , passion fruit aroma.Refreshing with citrus,milk and tropical fruits flavour. High carbo with abrupt finish.

Bottle at Café Abseits, Bamberg. Citrussy fruity hops with juicy orange, tangerine, soft tropical notes, light malt, and floral notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Very pleasant citrussy Pale Ale.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy hops, powdered sugar, not the freshest hops, resinous. Taste is the same. Sparkly carbonation, a bit sweetish.

Bottle at Frankonian Bierfestival Thursday 16th June 2022 in the company of Jude and Baz, glorious day 🌞. Warm orange gold with a white head, light hazy but only very light. Hoppy with some crystal malt sweetness, fruity, good.

Wiethaler Hoptimum, Fläschla von Sedat's Schlüggla. - Orangebraun, gut trüb. - In der Nase schöner exotischer Hopfen: Grapefruit, trockene Mango, Harz. - Antrunk frisch und knackig hopfenherb mit Grapefruit, nicht zu bitter, Karamel, Anklänge an Pflaume. Milder rezent, hefeweich. Im Abgang aromatische zitrusfruchtige und hopfenwürzige Herbe - hier schmeckt auch der Tettnanger heraus. - Schönes, aromatisch gehopftes aber rundes, nicht zu bitteres Pale Ale. (10.7.2020.)

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of and shared with Miro. Pours hazy golden orange with medium white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus, oranges, sweet malty. Light to moderate bitterness in the end. Dry. Medium bodied.

Hazy, amber-yellow colored, medium+ white head, good lasting. Aroma is of malt, some caramel and bready, moderate floral hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, some honey, floral medium aroma, maybe some lemony notes, bit bready finish, light+ bitterness, somewhat dry. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation.
