Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 10/09/23. Pitch black with a dirty tan cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, charr, light spice, molasses, mellow roast, vanilla essence. Taste comprises tonka bean, spice, charr, booze, light salt kiss, molasses, dark malts, charr, cacao nibs. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid impy stout.

Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a deep dark colored body that supports a thin mocha colored head of bubbles. The aroma offers up sugary marshmallow nuanced dark roasted malts, candied almonds and then booze soaked chocolate. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts, sweetened dark roasted malts and chocolate growing into some nuttiness and a blunted cinnamon spiciness. To midway some modest booziness bubbles forward and joins up with tasty lasting chocolate goodness. Nice balance and depth.

Can thanks to my buddy Jerry (aka Jamie): Poured a thick oil sludge black with a brown head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is roasted malts, cocoa nibs, cinnamon, dark fruits. Taste is cinnamon, doughy, rich roasted malts, cocoa nibs, espresso coffee bean, cinnamon. Balance of sweet and roast.

16oz can pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is molasses dark chocolate cinnamon and ash. Taste is more of the dark bitter chocolate ash rich roast cinnamon.

Can from Tavour. Strong cinnamon aroma. Slight vanilla. Black with large, deep brown head. Flavor is very sweet and string cinnamon. Lots of residual sugar in this.
