My first beer of 2015: 330ml bottle, BBE Jun 15. Poured into a Westvleteren chalice on 1st Jan at home. Good, clear, clean amber body with a full off-white head. Hop nose and taste with a mild citrus base. Although it is all hops and dry in flavour it is not overly bitter. Decent.

Lively golden beer with a decent frothy head. Aroma is dry, bitter hop. Flavour is quite dry too which just a touch of fruit, apple maybe, coming through. There’s a slightly unfortunate metallic hint to it but otherwise it’s a decent, crisp if unremarkable golden ale.

33cl bottle from the Stockbridge Market. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - toffee and cream. Taste - stale biscuits and grassy hops. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet dry texture. Somehow still sickly though. Overall - definitely not to be revisited. Reminds me of a cream ale style. Which isn’t to my taste really.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a fluffy off-white head. Average carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of grain, steel and digestive biscuits. Flavour of lemon, pine, metal, grass and earth. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Hoppy and sessionable - a bit metallic though.
