Halifax Beer Festival 2023. Extremely dark in colour. Very sweet dark malty brew, not much roasted character available. Barrel Aged version.

Cask at GBBF '23, day 2, 02/08/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, charr, dark fruit rinds, mellow roast. Taste comprises good roasted bite, cocoa powder, treacle toffee, dark malts, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent cask stout.
