Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a black to dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up cola, honey sweetened coffee, a bit of chocolate and then a mild boozy barrel character. The taste delivers sweet candy like flowing quickly into sweetened dark roasted coffee. To midway a mild boozy spirits like sensation murmurs to the surface briefly amid a sea of sweeter malts and thin ribbons of chocolate. This works pretty well and I enjoy the mild mannered barrel treatment allows the 'beer' flavours to dominate. Fun beer.

Can shared at shigs place in Newport news Virginia. Many thanks to shig for this one. A hazed dark brown black coloured pour with a small halo of tan head. Aroma is big earthy coffee, green pepper cocoa, wood. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, green pepper earthy coffee, chocolate oily. Meaty. Oily ok.

Can at SHIG place tasting, thanks to the SHIG, 16/04/23. Light black with a fast collapsing khaki head. Nose is earthy roast, coffee grinds, charr, chocoalte, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate, coffee grinds, faint barrel, molasses, brown sugar melt, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Not bad.
