Our cosmic collaboration series continues with a very special bourbon edition. The complex chocolate and coffee, Like Father Like Son base stout, has spent over a year maturing in an oak barrel sourced from Speyside Cooperidge in Scotland, picking up robust bourbon flavours as well as dry woody notes and prominent tannins for a bold vinous finish.

Keg at the Ascot / Disruption taproom, 04/03/23. Black with a decent tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, molasses, roasted tone, mellow bourbon. Taste comprises chocolate, dried fruit rinds, spice, molasses, toffee, bourbon barrel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent impy stout ... has the balance and drinkability the rum barrelled version lacked.
