’How has this not been done” was the reaction when the cider making team were sampling the 30 tea and cider blends at the beginning of the Zeffer Tea Party process. We have narrowed the range down and English Breakfast represents the first keg release of the Zeffer Tea Party series. The flavours get more diverse in the 2nd and 3rd releases, but we wanted to show the great pairing between the tea and cider without the influence of other flavours for this initial release. After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. This blend of this black tea has structure, tannin and flavours that compliment our apple cider perfectly and the result is a smooth, refreshing drop with great tannin and a lingering iced tea finish.

Tap@Boxing Cat/Great Leap Takeover, Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - clear golden yellow pour with small white bubbly head. Aroma and taste is prominent dry apple, light acidic, crisp on the palate, apple skin, light tea nuance into the finish.

Tiny fizzy shortlasting head, light straw colored. Aroma is slightly dry and fresh fruity, dry apples, hay, apple skin, sour grass, minerals, fruit stones, flowers. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish, hay, apple skin, minerals, sour grass, dry apples, fruit stones, weeds. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark. [ As Zeffer Tea Party - English Breakfast ].ABV: 5.0%. Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, tart sweet apple, wrinkled apple, arthy - damp stain - fusty apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration, sweet apple, red apples, light tart apples. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20150727]
