I really like the ghost chili from same brewery and buy that one from time to time, by far my favorite supermarket chili beer. So looking forward to taste this one, if they manage to tone down all flavors to still match. dark orange, offwhite to yellow head. Aroma is mild, flowery, watery, slightly malty, but there is a distinct chili bite in the aroma, and it is subtle like the other aroma notes, so in fact balanced. Flavor is good dose of very hot chili ( watered down, but i would guess they have used a little bit of very hot chili in this one ). malts are flowery and flavor has notes of honey and malty sweetness. aftertaste is bitter euro hoppy mixed with bitter chili. A lot better than i feared, the chili is not at all subdued, i think all i would like changed was a hop profile that was a little bit less UK’ish, i get some herbal bitterness notes resembling UK bitter, and they don’t match well with the chili. After a while the herbal bitterness gets to you, and sort of ruins the experience.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Hazy, Amber color with a fluffy off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, chilies, earthy and herbal impressions, lightly toasted notes. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body. Finishes dry with too much of a burn from the chillies.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Smooth mild beginning. The chilli is there in the aftertaste, the rest of the beer is a bit grainy and smooth. Hints of metal, mainly grainy. The aftertaste is booring-grainy with an intense hot chilli without any other aroma. Strange combination.

Bottle. Pours murky dark brown with large light brown head. Aroma is wheat bread, chalk, banana and cloves. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, light sour and light umami. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet, bitter and sour with notes of malt, banana, pineapple, cloves and chalk. No chili though. Nice beer but it is more hefeweisen than pale ale.
