10/7/2019. Cask at the 30th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours pale to mid brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of nut, toffee, malt, hops, fruit and light chocolate. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at the GBBF 2017. Day 5. 12/08/2017. A clear nut brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, fruity peach, jammy apricot, twiggy malts. Palate is semi sweet lifeless, no condition.. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, thin, nutty malts, brown bread little thin. Disappointing.

(Cask at White Horse, Parsonโs Green, London, 26 Nov 2016) Dark ruby colour, almost black, with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, caramel and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, caramel, cola and a mild bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and well made mild. Quite nice.

[ As White Horse Black Beauty ].Clear medium to dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, dark malt, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, toffee, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]

Cask. Appearance- dark brown, a foamy beige head which leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma- malty, slightly chocolatey, some dark fruit. Taste- smooth, chocolate hints, not much bitterness, hints of brown bread and raisin. Quite good.
