Szilvás sör (Plum Beer) is a fruity and hoppy lager with real fruits. The fresh plum infusion added to this beer is made by a local, family-owned company called Szabo&Szabo. Our plum lager is a liquid reminiscent of summertimes spent by the riverside or at the barbecue with friends or family.

Aroma: Slightly sweet fruity and some plum.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.

Finom gyümölcsös illat már a kitöltésekor, rövidéletű fehér hab, enyhén rózsaszínes/vöröses aranyszín. Kesbé sör, mint inkább a szilva íz dominálja kifejezetten szénsavasan. Fruity fragrance, weak foam, beautiful golden-red colour; strong plum taste which dominates the beer and almost fully masks the taste of hop, or malt Correct fruity beer

0.5l bottle. Reddish orange body, off-white head. Aroma of plums and some candy. Sweet plum flavor with candy. A very nice fruity lager. Try it if you have a chance.

500ml bottle with a dark blue neck from Csak a Jó Sór in Budapest, shared at the cabin with Liv and Kjell. Amber-red body, naked surface, fragile lacing. Aroma of sweet fruit drops. Tutti frutti taste with sweet, ripe plums. More like a sweet, fruity soft drink than a beer. Possible to drink, but really not for me (MS Rügen, Danube River 01.08.2012).

50 cl bottle, BBE 11/2012. From Budapest. Poured copper color w. a thin, bubbly white head. Fizzy looking. Raspberries, sweet fruity, pears in aroma. Sweet flavor with plums, malt, sweet apple juice. Long sweet finish of pear. Not a fan of fruit beers, but this was enjoyable, on the sweeter side though.

05/05 0.5 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy amber body with small head. Fruity, actually plum aroma. Sweet candy malt flavor with plums of course. Thinner in body. Towards the end light sweetness turns into slight acidity, kinda similar to real plums, although not the very best thing. Light, refreshing and quite enjoyable fruit radler.

Bottled 500ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu. Murky amber coloured, small white head that went away fast, plum nose. Odd light perfumed plum and chocolate taste. Not sweet just slightly sour. Rest of Croatian crew (and also other raters here on RB) liked this one much more that I did.

Ogi’s, from Budapest. Poured a misty dark amber body with a small white head. Plum candy in the nose, sweet, smells like satiainen. Plum & bosnian chocolate (cheap, pretty bad, yet still chocolate and as such passable). Light tanginess near the end. Very nice for a fruit beer - I liked it way much than the other two did.
