Keg at The Merchant, CW, 31/10/18. Murky dark mahogany brown decent beige. Nose is biscuit, toffee, light charr, dried fruits, cocoa dusting. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, cocoa sprinkle, toffee, dusty hop presence, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Decent flavoursome brown.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 23 May 2018) Dark brown colour, with hints of red. Foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, liquorice and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, toasted rye bread, orange peel, crisp-bread and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well made brown ale with a modern twist. Nice one.
