Like Bigfoot, our co-creator Ron's smile probably exists but has yet to be captured on film. This beer is our tribute to a classic English bitter: a single batch brewed with Skagit-grown malt and roasted rye, with a friendly amount of PNW Golding and Fuggle hops. And even though we can't see it, we know it makes him smile under his mask.

Can with smudged/obscured code on bottom, drunk 2/22/26.
Oak-aged? Native yeast? Dry-hopped? 4.2% abv?!! Sign me the F up!
I'm definitely getting Brett, which is awesome! And I'm getting little, if any, toasted malt; also awesome. Grassy-floral dry hop isn't overdone and melds with the fruity, lightly tart, lightly grass/floral Brett. Malts underscore everything, with just a hint of toasted grain and a kiss of honey/caramel. Very aromatic and inviting.
Medium-bodied with tons of flavor for its size. More residual/raw honey character than fermented honey character. A bit less Brett in the flavor, making way for floral hops and lightly toasted grains. Nice malt depth but well-attenuated. Just a flavorful, funky, English bitter-esque beer that probably resembles the original thing much more than anything you get today (oak-aged, native yeast, Brett).
Where has Garden Path been all my life!? Chalk up another brewery that I need to buy everything I can from.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Can say’s 4.2% ABV. Hazy amber orange pour. Large rocky white head leaves spotty lacing. Yeasty malt aroma hints at honey and funk. Flavors of yeasty funk and tannic notes. Unusual for the style.

[notes] Poured @ FHF 2023 (Aug 12, 2023). Hazy amber gold with small white head. A bit bland, uninteresting, feint brett.

From a pint can. Pours a cloudy brownish amber with an ecru head. Aromas are a bit funky with some oak present. Flavors are tart with some hop bitterness. Hard to categorize but fairly easy drinking with its low abv.

On tap. Pours a bright copper with light head. Odd, tart and metallic. Not my cup of tea.
